My name is Nadia. In Russian my name means hope, esperanza. I have grown to love my name over the years and the meaning behind it. I am a dreamer, a lover of traveling, a wife, a twin, and a daughter to loving parents. I was born in Mexico City but raised in Orange County, California. I have a twin sister and an older sister, a total family of five. Above all, I am thankful for me parents. They have taught my siblings and I the value of hard work, dedication, and determination. In many ways, these values have shaped the kind of women we have become.
I am currently living in California with my husband, Ramon, who is a former Marine and is currently serving in the US Air Force. I met my husband during my first year of college in San Diego. Out of our friends we were the introverts and the quiet ones. This instantly connected us and we naturally gravitated towards each other. After that day, we became inseparable. A month later, he was deployed to Iraq for nine months. This was probably the hardest moments for both of us, but at the end it made us closer and stronger. During these long nine months, I got to know the great man that my husband is, his amazing work ethic, and his strive for understanding which things work they way they do. Thus, his love for engineering and mathematics. He is always analyzing and processing information, a realist at heart. For me, I am more of a dreamer. Every year, I write down things that I want to accomplish and try to make them happen, even if they are the craziest of ideas. Perhaps this is why I love to travel. My twin sister and I are similar in this respect. We are dreamers, travelers, and striving to make our dreams a reality.
I am passionate about life and in creating the life I want to live. Be ambitious with your dreams and just go for them. In that process, you will be surprised the person you will discover in yourself and the many possibilities in life if you give yourself the opportunity to discover. As something that had just been an idea for a while, I finally decided to put this on my bucketlist for things to do this year and go for it. This is my creative outlet. This blog is all about my passion of traveling, cultures, languages, adventures, and life in general.
It has been a few years in revisiting this blog interest. Since then, I have become a mommy to a wonderful little soul named Isabelle Penelope. She is now one year and a half. She has become my new inspiration and new eyes in which to see and experience this world around us.
